Overview

This year, James Consulting is introducing a new conference to the German Business School landscape: The 1st annual Business Case Battle! The event will take place on the 16th & 17th of March 2023 at our beautiful campus in Oestrich-Winkel.

Teams of 4-6 people from Europe's leading business schools will compete against each other. The team will tackle a total of three cases during the
two-day event, which will be followed by a dinner with an afterparty.

1. Case

Strategy Case

A typically Strategy Case is a common type of case you’ll see in your first or second round consulting interviews. So you can think about it like first of all make sure you understand the problem statement and clarify the goals. After that, write out your structure and gather information.
In this way, you should be well prepared for the case.

2. Case

Entrepreneurship Case

In this case, think really outside the box. Entrepreneurship is about creating opportunities over resource control. So be aware of the fact that you might have to go completely new ways to find appropriate solution. If you are able to consider that in your approach and are open for getting inspired by various examples from your environment, you will be able to find adequate solution.

3. Case

Finance Case

Finance cases are the Champions League of case battles. Cash flow management, investment planning and forecasting financial risk can be part of it. If you like numbers, feel comfortable with charts and confident with innovative models, this one is for you.
